Take a day trip to Petrified Forest NP which has the worlds largest concentration of petrified logs, the fossilized remains of ancient wood that over millennia has turned to stone. This trip is the perfect blend of nature, adventure, and connection, and an opportunity to warm up a bit as the Fall cools down on the East Coast.

Arrive in Phoenix before noon and then head straight to Saguaro National Park where you'll hike among the towering cactuses. Enjoy a restaurant dinner in Phoenix before getting your well-earned rest.

For those who wish to take advantage of every moment, start your day bright and early with a sunrise hike at Camelback Mountain. This is not an easy hike, but the views at the top will make it very rewarding! Those who choose to stay behind will have the option of sleeping in or enjoying the nearby Desert Botanical Gardens. Once we're all back together, we'll begin making our way towards Sedona. We will stop at Montezuma's Castle along the way before having a picnic dinner and going out for a refreshing sunset hike in Sedona.

We will spend today hiking and exploring Sedona. We'll start with another optional sunrise hike before heading to some of the classic hikes and scenic views that Sedona has to offer such as Devil's Bridge and Seven Sacred Pools. Then we'll switch gears in the afternoon and board the famous Pink Jeeps for a wild off-road tour of Sedona.

After another optional sunrise hike, today's focus will be on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We'll make multiple stops along the way and then have the luxury of choosing between hiking down into the canyon, bike riding along the rim, visiting the visitors center and a combination of the above! We will iyH stay for a picnic dinner, sunset and beautiful stargazing at the rim before making our way back to Sedona.

On this final day of our trip we will pack out of our hotel and head east towards Petrified Forest National Park. After hiking a few local trails, we will make our final drive back into Phoenix for dinner and return to the PHX airport.
